The Art of Listening…. Online Fall Series

I invite you to join me in a practice of listening—becoming an explorer of the rich inner world of sensations and living expressions. Together, let us awaken to a broader participation in a world that, despite its challenges, is abundant with beauty.

Choose the option of Tuesday or Thursday

Together we will embrace the wisdom, wonder and wildness of our embodied beings.

Tuesday 9:30 -11:30 AM ET Sept. 15th - Oct 20 (No class on Oct. 6th) Cost $150

Without pausing to listen to the world of sensory communication, we cannot be present. We can’t know presence if our insides are noisy. Our capacity to pay attention has been usurped by our respective personal fears and anxiety as well as the cultural context within which we find ourselves.

When responding to inevitable life challenges, we often act to protect ourselves via systemic tightening. We solidify our bodies, create patterns, and establish armoring, all of which result in a body structure consisting of compression and density.

Can you feel your unique coordination’s of these patterns? Are you tightening, retreating, collapsing…and where?

The consequences of these patterns influence our capacity to resonate with ourselves, others, and the natural world. Hence, we are cut off from the wisdom of our bodies.

We live in a dynamic world that calls for adjustment, variability and adaptive capabilities.

An effective way to enhance self-awareness is to cultivate your capacity to listen to yourself as an embodied being. Continuum offers a direct experiential inquiry that supports softening somatic constraints and becoming explorers of the rich inner world of sensations and moving expressions. By shining the light of our attention inward, we can listen to and follow the deep wisdom within us. As we “disrobe” our protective strategies, we uncover the joy of our unique gifts, becoming more present to the creativity and mysteries of life.

Through this journey of interoception, we align ourselves with a life that is true—a raw truth of things as they are, unadorned and untainted by falsehoods. Just as a snake sheds its skin or a butterfly emerges from its cocoon, we embark on a journey of inward transformation.

This experience of truth can only be partially grasped by our minds. We must delve deeper within ourselves and connect with an internal life force and movement that we embody. Sensation becomes our guide to presence and to the gifts of creative unfolding, perceiving each moment with fresh awareness.

Continuum Classes

Through attention, sound, breath, and movement, we can enter the temple of the body as a place to freshly inhabit—to listen, to open, and to offer compassionate movement to the process of simply Being, just as we are.
